It should not take a head injury

to figure this out...

A Satirical Blog

*(utilizing articles discussing facts)*

By:  Susan MeeLing

After the head injury caused a coma while I learned how to deal with the headaches, migraines, cognitive disorders, memory problems, and other medical conditions I went from College Algebra with Trigonometry & Calculus down to 2nd grade math.  Here is how logic works for someone like me::

~  It took awhile for the doctor's recommendation to use sticky notes, to help remember.

~  It took several months to realize sticky notes moved, let alone to remember to speak with the doctor.

~  After I finally remembered to ask the doctor about the note problem, notebooks were recommended.

~  When I could remember to pick up a notebook, it took a long time to learn similar to sticky notes, notebooks are not always where they were placed.

~  After I was able to organize the notebooks over several months I still had not learned notebooks are not always readily available, at the necessary time.

~  When I remembered to speak with the doctor about the notebook problem the doctor had few other suggestions, to assist memories better.

~  After several events and adding up sticky note and notebook location problems, I realized my skin goes everywhere I do.

~  Wanting my tattoos to only be for me and not for public consumption I started the ink on my legs, able to hide easier.

~  It would not be until many tattoos and several years later I would realize my memory problems were usually not as bad when wearing shorts, capri pants, or a skirt.

~  Between 3-5 years after my first tattoo I had the first tattoo completed on my arms, and my memory has slowly progressed towards an easier memory jolt.

When I say "it should not take a head injury to figure this out" it is partially in humor from personal experiences, towards understanding.

If I can laugh at my mistakes after recognizing and dealing with them, so can you.

You have the knowledge, understanding, and wisdom I lack in order to put everything together to fix the problems seen with abilities I do not have.

Utilize the information within the blog to find genuine repairs and instead of complaining of the "hurtful" commentary, prevent the issues from reoccurring.

Then again, it should not take a head injury to figure that one out.

I35 in 2008 around the month of May

There was a point in time between several months of 2008 in which I drove back and forth between the cities throughout the #Dallas/#FortWorth area and #SanAntonio, as I was looking to purchase a house in the Dallas area suburbs. During one of the weekend trips which I drove from my house in San Antonio #Texas to the #DFW area after the time of looking at different houses, I returned to the hotel room I was staying in at the time. I spoke with my son and my daughter before they went to bed and then thought about going to sleep, however the insomnia was too much for me to go to sleep. I packed everything into my car at the time a yellow with black leather interior and a black convertible roof #VW #bug I named Zippy though I thought it looked like a #bumblebee because of the coloring, to return back to San Antonio.

It was around 2:30am which meant there were mainly semitruck drivers on the road at the time, which I knew before going out. As I traveled along the highway listening to my music and dancing in my car, I noticed there were around 15 to 20 semitrucks on each side of the lanes in the direction going southbound ahead of me. I noticed there were around the same number or so behind my vehicle as I drove, as I also noticed there were not many cars or SUVs in the area at the time. After passing through the area of #Hillsboro and past #Waco, I saw the four-way emergency flashing lights kick on all of the semi trucks one by one in front of me as they slammed on their brakes similar to a #Domino effect though for the semitrucks. I looked to my left quickly and saw the concrete median and to my right was one of the semitrucks which would be turning on it's four-way flashing lights soon as the semitrucks were starting to hit their brakes in front of me in my car, and I simply drove through the center rows of the two lane highway as all of the semitrucks slammed on their brakes to a stop. I was worried about being crushed like a bug as I was ironically driving a Bug car and when looking in my rearview mirror, I watched the semitruck that was in front of my car jack-knife at an angle and the semitruck that was behind my car stop the nose of the cab right next to the back trailer area of the semitruck in the jack-knife angle.

With a sigh of relief, I continued driving forward down the middle of the highway hoping I would not get in trouble for driving along the dotted line as I knew it was technically considered illegal; though I also hoped the Police Officers would understand why I made the choice, I had. Having continued past more than the length I thought it would be to get towards the front of the two lines of the semitrucks along the southbound highway, I myself had to slam on my brakes in my car and pull off to the right side of the roadway. Seeing the semitruck which was against the concrete median and people getting out on the left side of the southbound highway, I reached for my cellphone as I looked to see in the right side of the highway going southbound on 35; an overturned dump truck which was facing northbound, and I could tell that semi dump truck and been airborne during the collision possibly near #Georgetown or #Leander. The semi dump truck nose was facing as though it was driving northbound in the southbound lane, the front cab was laying on the passenger side, the back end was laying on the side though it was the driver side the dump truck was laying so it almost made the shape of a figure of an eight the way the truck way laying on the road.

As the people getting out of the left side of that semi-truck with the help of another semi-truck driver for the couple, I yelled out to the male helping them to turn the ignition off quickly while I dialed 9-1-1 on the phone. As the operator got onto the phone I began telling the female where the collision had been as a different male semi-truck driver walked over towards where I was standing and since I could not explain to the female where on 35S we were, I handed him the cellphone to run towards the semi-truck on the right. Though I had described the open field on the northbound side, the angled concrete access road entrance ramp, the smiling yellow circle face billboard, and the grassy center median where the concrete was, it was not enough information as I did not see a mile marker. He said he would take the phone call and explain to the operator where the location was, and I ran over to the overturned semi-truck on the side twisted up. There was a slender male standing on top of the driver's side door looking downward seemingly, assessing the situation.

I jumped up onto the side of the door the male was standing and told him I was going to jump in through the broken window glass, slide down to turn off the engine, unbuckled the seatbelt, and then push the male upward for the male I was speaking with to grab the males shoulders to pull him out of the cab window. The slender male nodded his head unsure if I could do so and asking if I truly wanted to go, instead of waiting for help.

I looked at the male and said "You and I are the help, until the police arrive. We have to move quickly, or the explosion is going to be huge. We don't have time, to waste."

Without another word to the male who was talking still I slid down into through the broken glass, turned the engine off though dropped the keys, turned the unconscious semi-truck driver more closer to the male I had just spoken with standing on the top of the door, unclipped the seatbelt, and counted told the male I would count to three, and he needed to pull.

"One, two, three!" I yelled and then pushed the male from the hips upward as the male on the door pulled from underneath the armpits to get the unconscious semi-truck driver out from the semi-truck cab.

Each of us took one of the unconscious semi-truck driver's arms over each of our shoulder to fireman carry the semi-truck driver to the area behind my vehicle, and I began working to get the semi-truck driver to be conscious enough to speak. During this the semi-truck driver who had my cellphone walked over to where I was to hand it back to me saying the female phone operator seemed to want to talk, instead of get the help needed. I attempted to speak with her one more time while going through medical checkpoints of the unconscious semi-truckdriver, while I checked his pulse and heart rate through his wrist. After ending the phone call as the operator was not helpful at the time, I snapped my fingers a few times and he was conscious enough to dial a phone number on my cellphone which I left a message on the answering machine to tell the people who would get the message of hopefully where to begin looking to find their friend or family member. Then I went back to working where I could on the male, as he spat out teeth onto the ground after I gave him some lemon sweet tea to drink a bit.

At some point #EMS arrived and they took the male I was working on into a gurney, to get him to the hospital and one of the EMS males told me to leave as I was not needed to be at the scene any longer. I told him "I am not leaving until I actually need to, and you aren't the Police." The EMS driver attempted to tell me he outranked the Police, which I disagreed and told him to go take care of the semi-truck driver and not worry about what I was doing. As the male ran off to get the male on the gurney into the EMS truck, the semitruck driver who had been on the phone with 9-1-1 walked over to me with some baby wipes. He asked if it was okay for him to wipe my back, as he noticed there was a lot of liquid and blood all over my shirt and pants. I shrugged my shoulders and nodded, while speaking with the slender male who had helped get the unconscious semitruck driver out of the cab. As the one who was wiping down my neck and back as my arms were spread wide out, the male asked me if my shirt was made the way he was seeing. When I asked what he meant, he said there were holes all along the back of my shirt as well as some of my blue jeans. I told him the shirt was whole, and I did not understand what he meant.

Apparently the chemicals from the semi-truck engine had gotten onto the fabric of my shirt and my pants and was eating away at the fabric. Or possibly I should write, the chemicals had eaten through the fabric of my shirt and jeans fabric. I jokingly asked if my tattoos on my shoulders and back were okay to lighten the mood, and he said they were. I shrugged my shoulders and then there was a news reporter with a camera and a microphone, which the female asked if she could ask me a few questions. I agreed and though I was dealing with what I was dealing with when she asked me about my military connection and if they had assisted me being able to do what I did, nervously I laughed saying "No" as before I could finish what I was going to say she turned off the camera and took the microphone away. Though I was going to say where I learned what I had been able to do, the female walked away from me.

Shortly after, then the Police Officer arrived on the scene, and told me to move my car. I asked if he was sure he did not need me to speak about anything of what was done, and he shook his head side to side and told me to move my car and move along. I asked a few more times just in case, though he told me he needed to clear up the traffic. I returned back to my house in San Antonio a little bit later, went inside to give my son and my daughter a kiss on their cheeks after checking on them to make sure they were okay, and then I went to take a shower.

Looking at my clothes afterwards and seeing the complete back of my shirt and portions of the front of my shirt were holy including my jean pants and the soles of my shoes were holy as well as bloody, and I simply knew I needed to put them in a bag and continue on with other things for the time being. I rechecked on my son and my daughter after the shower, walked down the stairs of my house, and walked outside to my back patio to be greeted by my Great Dane Ganesh. The male at the time who I was involved with at the time asked what happened, which I told him. Ganesh my dog crawled into my lap which he had been 200 pounds and the biggest whiny baby I had ever seen in a dog though a very good dog nonetheless, as he rested his head on my shoulder with his front two paws on my shoulders, while pushing his legs around my back and tapping his tail on the armrest as I looked at him wondering what he was doing.

As the male listened to what I said he laughed and said 'Ok, sure. That's what you did? Ok.'

I pointed to the clothing he saw torn up, though apparently that was not enough to prove what I had done and I simply did not care to attempt to find anything online to see if there was a news report about what I had done. By the time I received a return phone call about the incident on the new phone number, I did not know what to say in reference to the semi-truck collision. Though I was absolutely glad the male was able to survive and his family find him as well as being grateful for the service to the United States of America's Armed Forces, I simply did not know what to do beyond that. In a way it almost seemed as though it would come across as arrogant in a way, because I did not know how to say anything in reference to the situation beyond what had occurred. However more recently I have reached out about that and a few other things in 2018, 2019, and 2020 after having sent out information in 2015, and 2016 despite that having occurred in 2008.

Though it might be a bit later than wanted or expected, if such a meeting is still wanted please do reach out and contact me. I apologize for being a bit shy, about such.

The ultimate measure of an individual is not where they stand in moments of comfort and convenience, but where they stand at the time of challenge and controversy.

We must reject the idea that everytime a law is broken society is guity, rather than the law breaker.

Freedom is never-more than one generation away, from exinction.  We do not pass freedom on through our blood stream because freedom must be fought for, protected, and handed on for the next generation to do the same.

Happiness is when what you think, what you say, and what you do are in harmony.

It should not take a head injury to figure this out, because you are smarter.
