Does it take a head injury to figure this out about the Fight for $15 movement, military, and first

The pictures within this blog post refer to various sources of information regarding the hash-tag #FightFor15, and their views.

Afterwards, are my opinions.

RT.com Article "Hundreds of Philadelphia airport workers stage sit-in over ‘Fight for $15’ "

The Nation News Article By Sarah Jaffe and Doug Chayka "This Group Pioneered the Fight for $15. Can They Transform the Fight for Affordable Housing Too? New York Communities for Change wants to remake New York in a more equal image."

Now at the end, here are my opinions.

(My boyfriend assisted with the mathematics to ensure the correct numbers, and information.)

If each soldier, law enforcement officer, fire department associate, and/or emergency responder were to earn the query of $15 per hour, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year the minimum salary for the lowest level employee would equal

$131,400

* Should it take a head injury to figure out when the females and males who are serving our countries and cities honourably do not earn a minimum of $131,400 before earning more through time and experience; why should civilians whom do not serve their city/country, but only seek personal revenue?

* Does it take a head injury to figure out an enlisted soldier with less than two years experience in the workforce within any military branch earns less than $20,000 each year (far less than the beginning $131,400 per calendar year) and wonder why the #FightFor15-ers whine for better pay, when they do not put their lives on the line for others' safety while disregarding their own?

* Should it take a head injury to figure out the highest ranking NCO Enlisted soldier with over 40 years of service earns less than $100,000 per calendar year (less than the beginning $131,400 per calendar year) and wonder why the #FightFor15-ers whine for better pay, when they do not put their lives on the line to keep other people safe while disregarding their own?

* Does it take a head injury to figure out a brand new Officer with a college degree and less than 2 years of work experience earns less than $45,000 per year (much less than the beginning $131,400 per calendar year) and wonder why the #FightFor15-ers whine for better pay, when they do not put their lives on the line for others' safety while disregarding their own?

* Should it take a head injury to figure out when the highest ranking officer (O-12) with over 18 years experience makes less than $140,000 per year (just over the beginning wages of $131,400 per calendar year) and wonder why the #FightFor15-ers whine for better pay, when they do not put their lives on the line while being responsible for others' safety while disregarding their own safety?

* Does it take a head injury to figure out the starting salary for a police officer is between $25,000 through $50,000 each year (far less than the beginning $131,400 per calendar year) to wonder why the #FightFor15-ers whine for better pay, when they do not put their lives to run into dangerous situations for others while disregarding their own security?

* Should it take a head injury to figure out the beginning payment for fire department employees is below $45,000 per year (much less than the beginning $131,400 per calendar year) to wonder why the #FightFor15-ers whine for better pay, when they do not attempt to save others while disregarding their own safety?

* Does it take a head injury to figure out the starting salary for a first responder is under $45,000 per year (far less than the beginning $131,400 per calendar year) to wonder why the #FightFor15-ers whine for better pay, when they do not put their lives on the line for others while disregarding their own personal safety?
